Since April of 2006, Bread Basket volunteers have been serving a free meal once each month to anyone who comes to the church. Currently the meals are being served on the first Saturday of each month from 12:00 to 1:00PM. On a typical Saturday between 75 and 125 well balanced, hot meals are prepared and served. Some meals are delivered to members who are unable to leave their homes.
We are grateful to those who support this ministry with financial gifts, and for the many faithful volunteers who prepare and serve the meals.
In 2013 Hazleton Enlarged Ministries opened its Clothing Depot in the Bread Basket Dining Room so that guests could select items of clothing that they could use. We are happy to be able to offer our guests this service, and are grateful for the HEM volunteers.
